We are seeking a talented and experienced Software Engineer to design, develop, and implement complex software capabilities for computer‑based systems. You will work closely with an agile team to create software solutions that meet client needs, stay current with modern tools and technologies, and contribute to high‑quality releases.

• Develop Java‑based software capabilities with strong testing skills.
• Leverage troubleshooting skills to work under pressure with multiple deadlines.

• Security Clearance: A current U.S. Government clearance is not required on day one; a Secret level clearance will be processed. U.S. citizenship required.
• 9+ years of experience designing, developing, and deploying complex backend systems, or equivalent experience and education (Bachelor’s degree or 7 years of experience; High School Diploma plus 13 years).
• Experience designing enterprise APIs, RESTful web services, and microservices architecture.
• Proficiency in object‑oriented programming (OOP) paradigms.
• Experience with the Linux operating system and configuration‑management tools (e.g., Git, Nexus, Maven).
• Ability to learn quickly and work both independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid environment, spending an average of 1–2 days per week at the Columbia, MD office.

• Current Secret or higher level clearance.
• DoD 8140 / 8570 IAT Level II compliance certifications.
• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure).
• Experience with distributed databases, No

• Scripting experience.
• Prior experience or familiarity with our Big Data Platform.
