Job Title: Senior Android Engineer

Location: Remote (US-based). Teams primarily operate on Pacific Time core hours.

Employment Type: Full-time

Compensation: $180,000 – $240,000 base salary

Visa Sponsorship: Available (H-1B, O-1, OPT)

We are hiring a Senior Android Engineer to help own and evolve a high-quality consumer Android application. This is a product-focused engineering role with deep ownership: you will help shape features from early concept through release and iteration.

You will be one of a very small number of Android engineers, with responsibility across the Android codebase and close collaboration with iOS, web, product, and design partners.

• Build and ship new Android features from concept through production
• Work primarily in Kotlin using Jetpack Compose
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Data to solve real user problems
• Balance technical quality with product and business needs
• Maintain high standards for code clarity, simplicity, and maintainability
• Advocate for improvements to developer experience and mobile architecture
• Contribute to a culture that values direct feedback, ownership, and high-quality execution

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience (5+ years strongly preferred)
• Strong experience building consumer-facing Android applications
• Production experience with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
• Track record of shipping features end to end
• Experience working on apps with strong user engagement and positive app store ratings
• Ability to collaborate closely with designers and product managers
• Clear, practical approach to problem solving (avoids over-engineering)
• Interest in building products that prioritize user experience

• Experience contributing to iOS or web codebases
• Experience working on consumer subscription products
• Interest in AI-assisted development tools and workflows
