Spreetail is hiring a Senior Database Administrator & Data Architect. As our Senior Database Administrator & Data Architect, you’ll be the technical owner for Spreetail’s database infrastructure — leading operations, performance optimization, modernization strategy, and cross-functional enablement of high-value data use cases.

• Manage and optimize SQL Server, Postgres, and Mongo
  
  DB databases across AWS.
• Ensure availability, replication, backup, and security for production systems.
• Design for scalability, cost efficiency, and observability.
• Define modernization strategy (migration, architecture upgrades).
• Collaborate across teams to align database design with analytics goals and mentor engineers on database performance and governance best practices.

• 8–12+ years of DBA experience with SQL Server/Postgre
  
  SQL expertise.
• Deep knowledge of AWS RDS, Aurora, monitoring tools (Datadog, Cloud Watch).
• Skilled in tuning, indexing, replication, partitioning, automation (Python/Power Shell).
• Familiar with modern data stacks (Snowflake, dbt, Dagster).
• Excellent communicator who can translate complex technical topics into actionable guidance for engineers, analysts, and leadership.

$152,000 - $200,000 a year.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $152,000/year to $200,000/year. Pay is based on a number of factors including geographic market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Spreetail is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
