Senior PHP Developer

Our client is a stable IT service and product development company, serving reputable clients across Europe and developing innovative projects on the long-term run.

As the team is growing, we are looking for an experienced Senior PHP Developer (fully remote role).

About the Role:

You will be responsible for maintaining a legacy API built with CakePHP 2 and developing new microservices using API Platform and Symfony.

You will:

• Maintain and enhance legacy APIs built with CakePHP 2.
• Design and develop new microservices using API Platform and Symfony.
• Write and maintain unit and Behat tests to ensure code quality.
• Collaborate with team members in an agile SCRUM environment.
• Deploy and monitor applications using Docker and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Work with Postgre
  
  SQL databases and Pub/Sub messaging services.

Your Profile:

The ideal candidate has strong backend experience, works well in an agile SCRUM environment, and is comfortable with modern development tools and cloud infrastructure.

Requirements:

• At least 4 years of professional experience as PHP Developer
• Strong experience with PHP 8.3 and modern PHP frameworks (Symfony, API Platform).
• Experience maintaining legacy codebases (CakePHP 2 preferred).
• Familiarity with Docker, GCP, and microservice architecture.
• Proficient with Postgre
  
  SQL and Pub/Sub.
• Experience writing unit tests and Behat tests.
• Good understanding of agile/SCRUM development practices.
