Software Engineer to join the team responsible for building the products that help aspiring software engineers level up and launch their careers. The software that you and your team write will power the largest community of early career developers in the world and help redefine the future of work & technical education.
- Build and maintain features for our Rails-based platform serving 1M+ developers. You’ll design, write, and maintain the software that powers everything we do. You’ll be a part of the entire lifecycle from conception through deployment.
- Shape Our Engineering Culture, Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering documentation. Your contributions will help shape a world-class engineering culture that values shipping high‑quality software. You'll implement and benefit from industry best‑practices including code reviews, pair programming, CI/CD, testing, and more.
- Debug and resolve production issues as they arise
- Collaborate with product and design on feature specifications and technical approach

- 3+ years professional Ruby on Rails development experience
- Experience building and maintaining production Rails applications at scale
- Strong understanding of relational databases (Postgre
SQL preferred) - Proficiency with modern JavaScript/React
- Experience with Git workflows and code review practices
- Proven ability to work independently in remote/distributed teams
- Strong experience in TDD and modern development practices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong self‑direction and ability to manage deliverables independently
- An interest in reimagining the future of education and work. Direct experience/familiarity with MLH’s community is a plus.
- 40 hours per week full time contract, ₹1,5-2,6 LPA
- Flexible hours with 2-4 hour overlap with US Eastern Time for team syncs (typically 9am-1pm EST)
