Senior Apple Engineer; freelance​/perm

Overview

Are you an Apple developer who thrives on tackling complex mobile experiences in the payments space?

For a long-term project with a leading payments company, DNA.inc is looking for a Senior Apple Engineer to build modern, scalable iOS applications. You’ll work closely with client teams — engineers, designers, and product specialists — to strengthen their internal capabilities and deliver robust, quality-driven platforms.

In this role, you will collaborate with other engineers to build high-quality, reliable iOS applications for one of DNA.inc’s marquee clients. Our teams often work directly within client teams, ensuring close collaboration and shared ownership of product quality and outcomes.

To be considered a candidate for this role, we expect you to:

• enjoy building complex, high-quality applications for large user bases
• have at least 5 years of demonstrable, professional experience in building native apps for mobile, tablet, and/or TV
• possess deep knowledge of modern Apple development practices;

  UI, Combine, structured concurrency, and more
• value code quality: readability, testability, and scalability
• be a team player and an effective consulting partner to clients
• be based in or around New York City. Although this role is primarily a remote or hybrid position, periodic on-site presence with our client will be expected

Ideally, you can also bring expertise in subjects such as:

• UIKit, Core Data, App Clips, Store Kit
• media players and streaming (audio and/or video)
• in-app purchases
• localization
• large modularized codebases
• design systems/patterns
