Sr Java Developer – Life Sciences; Remote

Our client is a leader in genetic testing and diagnostics, focused on advancing personalized healthcare through innovative, data‑driven solutions.

Title: Senior Java Developer – Life Sciences (Remote)

Pay Rate: $70–90/hr (up to $100/hr for exceptional candidates)

Length of Assignment: Initial 6‑month contract with potential extensions up to 2 years

Location: Must live in the United States

Start Date: ASAP

• Design, develop, and enhance Java‑based solutions supporting oncology laboratory systems within a highly customized implementation.
• Customize and implement new processes for laboratory testing, documentation, and data analysis.
• Contribute to new feature development and system enhancements.
• Support assay modifications and assay development initiatives.
• Use Java to customize and extend laboratory testing workflows, documentation, and data analysis within a highly customized LIMS implementation.
• Provide Tier 2–3 technical support to internal stakeholders and cross‑functional teams.
• Collaborate closely with laboratory, IT, and validation teams to ensure compliant and reliable system functionality.

• 5–10 years of hands‑on Java development experience at a Senior or Principal level.
• Prior experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) strongly preferred;
  Lab Vantage experience is a significant plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
• Proactive mindset with strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must live in the United States. W2 only. No C2C, no 1099, and no sponsorship available.
