Remote Leverage: Senior Full Stack MERN Developer

Remote Leverage, a talent startup based in California, USA, is building and launching a new, independent SaaS platform backed by a proprietary talent dataset, and we’re hiring a Senior Full Stack MERN Developer to join as a founding engineer.

This is a remote role focused on building a standalone product with external customers, real scale, and long-term ambition — not client work and not internal tooling.

We’re developing a proprietary software platform designed to transform how companies discover, evaluate, and hire remote talent at scale.

• Taking an existing MVP and bringing it to market-ready, production quality
• Designing and refining backend APIs and data models
• Improving frontend UX, usability, and performance
• Ensuring the system is stable, secure, and scalable
• Identifying and resolving edge cases, bugs, and technical debt
• Making pragmatic architectural decisions that support long-term growth
• Working closely with the founder to move fast while maintaining engineering discipline
• Writing clean, maintainable, well-structured Type Script
• Applying a product-minded engineering approach, not just feature delivery
• Thriving in an environment with ambiguity, iteration, and evolving requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role
• Strong experience with Type Script across frontend and backend
• Solid React experience building production-grade user interfaces
• Experience building Node.js / Express APIs
• Experience working with Mongo

• Proven track record of shipping and maintaining real-world SaaS products
• Ability to move a product from “it works” → reliable, scalable, and usable
• Strong product-minded engineering mentality
• Comfortable working without rigid specs and iterating quickly
• Fluent English, written and verbal
• Professional, collaborative, and proactive
• Open to feedback and continuous improvement

• Enjoy taking ownership of real products from early stages
• Like working close to founders and decision-makers
• Have shipped SaaS products before and know where MVPs tend to break
• Care deeply about code quality, maintainability, and scalability
• Want meaningful impact on a product with real market potential

USD 3000 to 4000 per month
