About the role:
As Staff Engineer, Retail Media AdTech Solutions (m/f/d), you will be shaping and evolving our AdTech platform with a strong focus on scalable architecture, engineering best practices, and performance optimization. You will serve as the technical leader across cross-functional teams and ensure the successful delivery of high-performance advertising solutions. You will collaborate closely with the Retail Media business team, Product Managers, and other stakeholders to turn complex business challenges into robust technical solutions that enable our Retail Media ecosystem to grow and scale.

About your tasks:

• Architecture & Technical Leadership:
  
  Drive the technical strategy for Retail Media Ad Solutions with a focus on scalability, maintainability, and performance. Design and lead development ofNode.js/TypeScriptmicroservices, ensuring a clean and modular architecture.
• Fullstack Engineering:
  
  Develop and maintain high-performance frontend applications using
  
  React,Next.js, and Material-UI, with strong form logic using
  
  Formikand
  
  JSONSchema validation.
• Data & System Design:
  
  Optimize real-time and high-throughput data systems, integrating with Mongo
  
  DB, Redis, and Algolia to support fast ad delivery and campaign insights. Work with
  
  BullMQandRabbit
  
  MQfor reliable message queueing across distributed services.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  
  Collaborate with product, design, analytics, and business stakeholders to align technical efforts with strategic priorities. Contribute to technical planning and ensure engineering is a proactive partner in delivering impactful Retail Media experiences.

About you:

• Several years of professional software development experience, including2+ years in a Lead Engineer, Principal Engineer, or similar leadership role.
• Proven experience in building and maintaining scalable microservices and frontend applications in fast-paced environments.
• At least 3 years experience in AdTech (Retail Media highly preferred), with familiarity in sponsored ads, targeting, and attribution models.
• Comfortable leading technical discussions, mentoring teams, and influencing product and business outcomes.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and cross-functional environments.
