* About the Role
* We are seeking an experienced
* Senior
* * Software Engineer
* to join our technology transformation initiative at
* BNSF Railway*. This is an opportunity to work on cutting-edge platforms and products that power one of the largest freight rail networks in North America. You will design and build scalable, reliable systems that enable efficient rail logistics and drive innovation across our enterprise.

* What You'll Do
* * Design and develop
* distributed systems*, APIs, and platform services.

* Build
* high-performance, scalable software
* for rail network operations.

* Implement
* CI/CD pipelines*, automation tools, and Dev Ops best practices.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.

* Own architecture decisions for large-scale systems and mentor other engineers.

* Develop monitoring and alerting systems using
* Prometheus, Grafana, Open Telemetry*.

* Work with
* cloud platforms* (AWS, Azure, GCP) and serverless technologies.

* Ensure secure coding practices and platform reliability.

* Strong programming skills in at least one language (Java, Python, Go, C#, etc.).

* API gateways

* SQL/No

SQL/Graph databases

* Caching systems

* Serverless platforms

* Hands-on experience with
* CI/CD pipelines*, Git workflows, and Dev Ops practices.

* Familiarity with
* observability tools* (Prometheus, Grafana, Open Telemetry).

* Strong communication and collaboration skills; experience as a mentor or tech lead.

* Preferred Qualifications
* * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

* Experience with
* AWS, Azure, or GCP*.

* Knowledge of frameworks like
* React, Angular, Node.js, Spring Boot*.

* Experience operating large-scale distributed systems in production.

* Pay and Benefits
* The pay range for this position is $100.00 - $200.00/hr.
