We’re building an innovative earned wage access platform that allows hourly workers to access a portion of their earned wages daily via Whats App, linked bank accounts, and stablecoin debit cards. We need a versatile full‑stack developer to build our MVP and own end‑to‑end technical implementation.

You will be responsible for integrating Plaid for bank connections, Whats App Business API for conversational user flow, payment gateways for subscription management, wallet backend for daily advances and peer transfers, and card issuing integrations.

• Build secure OAuth integration with Plaid for bank account linking and transaction data retrieval.
• Develop backend services to process user data, store sensitive info securely, and comply with financial regulations.
• Implement Whats App Business API messaging flows, including automated interview chat and user notifications.
• Design and build subscription payment flows using Stripe or similar gateways.
• Integrate with crypto debit card issuing platforms (e.g., Marqeta, Stripe Issuing) for physical and virtual cards.
• Build wallet infrastructure supporting daily wage advances, peer‑to‑peer transfers, and ACH debit/credit automation.
• Implement scheduled jobs for daily advance payouts and payday repayments.
• Ensure KYC/AML compliance integration, data privacy, and secure storage.
• Build user onboarding and approval logic, including handling edge cases (failed payments, incomplete KYC, etc.).
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and compliance teams to iterate rapidly.

• 10+ years full‑stack development experience, ideally in fintech or payments.
• Strong backend skills with Node.js, Python, or similar.
• Experience integrating Plaid or similar open banking APIs.
• Hands‑on experience with Whats App Business API or conversational messaging platforms.
• Familiarity with payment gateway integration (Stripe, Pay Pal).
• Experience with card issuing APIs (Marqeta, Stripe Issuing, or equivalent).
• Knowledge of ACH payment flows and banking compliance is a strong plus.
• Experience building wallet systems or working with crypto/blockchain wallets a plus.
• Strong understanding of security best practices for sensitive financial data.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced startup environment with ambiguous requirements.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work remotely.

• Prior experience building earned wage access or payroll products.
• Familiarity with AML/KYC tooling and compliance processes.
• Experience with Twilio or other SMS/Whats App messaging APIs.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) and serverless architecture.
