Senior Software Engineer

About

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Developer who is motivated to combine the art of software advancements with the art of system design to help harden and advance our QbDVision application.

What You’ll Own

• Collect feature requirements and break those down to Epics and Stories.

• Own feature development quality end-to-end and provide estimates of the effort

• Play a team lead role, mentor new hires and help junior developers take their next steps

• Debug complicated business-related bugs that may arise from our clients

• Write integration, unit, and synthetic tests using Test Driven Development (TDD)>

• Contribute to technical documentation/validation documents

Requirements
• What You Need To Succeed

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong emphasis on developing B2B applications

• Solid understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and coding best practices

• Proficiency in JavaScript (ex. React.js and Node)

• Strong understanding of web markup languages, including HTML5 and CSS3

• Experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., MySQL, Postgre

SQL, Mongo

DB)

• Familiarity with cloud platforms, ideally AWS

• Experience applying Test-Driven Development (TDD) best practices

• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work on complex systems and datasets

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
