We are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join our Research & Development team at our US location near Indianapolis. You will develop C++ components for flowmeters in industrial process automation, define software specifications, create automated test scripts in C#, and ensure compliance with safety‑critical standards. You will also contribute to digitalization efforts by integrating advanced connectivity technologies such as industrial Ethernet, WLAN, Bluetooth, and cloud‑based solutions.
Responsibilities- Implement embedded software for industrial flowmeters.
- Design & write C++ software components in a real‑time environment.
- Define specifications for software components.
- Implement test scripts in C# for automated regression testing.
- Ensure quality and compliance with safety‑critical industrial applications.
- Drive digitalization using industrial Ethernet protocols, WLAN, Bluetooth, and iCloud connectivity.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, plus >3 years of experience in software development (recent graduates with internship experience in embedded software projects considered).
- High level of experience in C & C++, preferably also in C#.
- Knowledge of source control systems and processes, preferably Git/Gitlab.
- Experience with embedded software systems, RTOS, MCUs, and wired or wireless communication protocols.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Driven by a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to quality.
