About the Team
Door Dash is seeking an exceptional Engineering Manager to spearhead a dynamic team with two key focus areas: advancing our merchandising platform to address complex consumer needs and leveraging merchandising platform to simplify consumer discovery for non-restaurant cravings from spontaneous, need-it-now use cases to weekly grocery routines. This team operates at the intersection of product platform and product experience, driving innovation to solve some of the company’s top priorities.
About the RoleAs the Engineering Manager, you will assume leadership of a versatile full-stack engineering team spanning mobile, web, and backend. Your responsibility extends beyond technical prowess as you will engage in close collaboration with key stakeholders in product development, strategy, operations, design, user research, and analytics. Your leadership will steer a dynamic, data-centric team, swiftly crafting an end-to-end Occasions user experience. This team will serve as the builder of customizable, personalized, and reusable user experiences on mobile and web apps.

- You will directly work with partners in product, strategy & operations, design, user research, and analytics across Door Dash to define the roadmap and vision for the team and deliver immense impact
- Build an outstanding team by coaching engineers, empowering engineers through delegation, and applying your technical expertise to hold your team to the highest engineering standards
- Scale the team by developing internal talents and attracting top talents
- You have a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or equivalent
- You have 7+ years of industry experience, including minimum of 2 years of management experience
- You have experience managing engineering disciplines across BE + Android + iOS + Web
- You bring a strong product sense and can be a thought partner with cross-functional peers
- You have hands‑on experience working with non-technical stakeholders, cross-team collaboration, and building scalable products in a fast‑paced environment
- You have the ability to handle ambiguity and work with product and business partners to collect non‑technical requirements to design and build scalable experience solutions.
- You have the ability to guide and grow an excellent engineering team in a rapidly changing business environment

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.
