Join a dynamic team as a Technical PLC/Software Development Manager where you will oversee the software development of conveyor and sortation systems. This role is pivotal in implementing site‑based controls for new equipment within both new and existing customer systems. You will lead, develop, and mentor a team of SCADA and PLC development engineers. Collaboration with Operations and Controls engineering groups is essential to support project scope and schedules.

Additionally, you will manage a repository of applications, design, and implement scalable, secure, and efficient software solutions in close collaboration with stakeholders.

• Oversee and manage software development for conveyor and sortation systems.
• Implement site‑based controls for new equipment within customer systems.
• Lead, develop, and mentor a team of SCADA and PLC development engineers.
• Collaborate with Operations and Controls engineering groups to support project scope and schedule.
• Manage a repository of applications.
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient software solutions.
• Identify requirements and translate them into software designs with stakeholders.

• Experience in PLC software development.
• Proficiency in Rockwell, HMI development, and controls development.
• Strong skills in Python development and scripting.
• 8 years of experience in software management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
• Experience in material handling or parcel systems.
• Management experience in a technical environment – Managing remote traveling Engineers.

• Experience with UPS or USPS projects.
• Proficiency in Rockwell or Siemens & Schneider PLC development.
• Must be able to lead a remote team that travels.

This is a Permanent position based out of Louisville, Kentucky. Work from home and quarterly travel to the Louisville, KY office. Some travel to customer sites throughout the year.
