Our product management team consists of technologists who are passionate about delivering products that elevate open source software everywhere. This track focuses on product management within Cloud Native.
Location:
This role will be based remotely in the EMEA region.
- Lead the lifecycle of product development by reviewing priorities and goals for the products you are responsible for.
- Work closely with engineering leads to oversee the product development process.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—engineering, design, marketing, and sales—to address common challenges, align on priorities, and keep business execution on track.
- Conduct market research, analyze industry trends, and gather customer feedback to identify opportunities and ensure alignment with Canonical’s vision.
- Develop your team through coaching, mentoring, and training.
- Establish KPIs for project status reporting and communicate across Canonical.
- Drive execution excellence through continuous feedback and improvement.
- Contribute to strategies to create and maintain high‑performing teams.
- Contribute to the success of the sales team by reviewing customer feedback and participating in customer meetings.
- Seasoned product management experience in technical domains related to open source software in the cloud native landscape.
- Experience designing or managing software operations for large‑scale distributed systems.
- Good understanding of cloud native technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker containers.
- Comprehensive knowledge of enterprise security and compliance requirements for software operations.
- Proven ability to lead technical teams and drive their execution to excellence.
- Passion for writing about technologies and experience in developer marketing.
- A strong work ethic and personal interests aligned with the open source philosophy.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Willingness to travel up to four times a year for internal events.
- Experience with CNCF projects, identity, or observability systems.
- Intellectual curiosity and passion for the future of technology.
- Strong sense of ownership; responsibility for product and team success.
- Problem‑solving ability with visionary leadership.
