SW Development Engineer - Remote

Akkodis is recruiting for a SW Development Engineer for an aerospace manufacturer in the Grand Rapids, MI area. This is a remote position with occasional travel to the site in MI. This is a contract position with a pay range of $50 an hour to $90 an hour depending on education, experience and location. These roles will support military tools programs, contributing to software development tasks in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

$50.00/hr - $90.00/hr

• Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain software solutions using Python and C#.
• Apply object-oriented programming principles to design and implement robust applications.
• Utilize Git Hub for version control and collaborate on code reviews.
• Write and maintain requirements and test procedures for software components.
• Participate in Agile sprints and manage tasks through Rally
  .
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration and compliance with program standards.
• Support occasional on-site activities, including integration and customer meetings.

• Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of professional software development experience.

  Proficiency in Python and C#; strong understanding of object-oriented programming

• Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in aerospace or automotive industries (or adjacent fields).
• Knowledge of Cameo and Smart Bear tools.
• Exposure to integration with hardware systems.
• U.S. Citizenship required for military program support.
