About Assemble
Assemble is building the System of Work for healthcare operations. We help frontline nurse leaders reclaim time by automating administrative work and surfacing the highest-impact actions. By connecting existing tools into a unified workflow, Assemble becomes the infrastructure that powers safer care, stronger teams, and better outcomes.
We’re live in major health systems, scaling quickly, and backed by world-class investors. Our product is already driving measurable change on the ground, and we’re growing the team to support increasing demand.
About the roleAs a Fullstack Engineer at Assemble, you’ll join a small, high-trust engineering team building software for the front lines of healthcare. You’ll work closely with founders and senior engineers, contribute to the product and technical roadmap, and help shape how we build as the team continues to grow.
We work in a modern fullstack Type Script environment:
Next.js powers our frontend, NestJS supports our backend services, Postgre
SQL is our primary data store, and Redis handles caching and real-time coordination. Our infrastructure runs on Aptible to meet the security and compliance requirements of healthcare environments.
This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working in small teams, owning meaningful pieces of the product, and shipping software for real-world, high-stakes use cases. You’ll partner closely with domain experts and help deliver technology that improves care at scale.
What you’ll do- Build and own fullstack features that integrate real-time clinical data, workflow logic, and AI-assisted decision support.
- Shape our engineering architecture — from backend services to frontend experiences and data pipelines.
- Define and evolve technical standards, developer tooling, and infrastructure from day one.
- Work fast and thoughtfully, shipping software that reduces operational friction and improves care delivery.
- A builder’s mindset: you thrive in ambiguity and enjoy taking ideas from concept to production.
- Strong fullstack skills: you’re comfortable designing APIs, building intuitive UIs, and thinking in systems.
- Product thinking: you’re motivated by real-world impact and care deeply about usability and performance.
- Craft and clarity: you write maintainable code, communicate well, and leave things better than you found them.
- A collaborative spirit and an interest in improving healthcare through better tools and infrastructure.
- Strong with Type Script and fullstack development
- Comfortable using AI coding assistants
- Demonstrated experience working closely with product and cross-functional teams
- Bonus: familiarity with NextJS, NestJS, Postgre
SQL, Redis, Aptible, or healthcare systems

- 4 weeks PTO
- Fantastic benefits: 90% coverage of medical and dental coverage, 401K
