About The Role
Staff Software Engineer in Scottsdale, AZ enabling the future of workforce travel. We seek leaders passionate about impacting the entire tech organization, cultivating learning, applying the latest technologies, critical thinking, and a user‑focused approach.
LocationScottsdale, AZ (in‑office with 20% flexibility to work from home).
Duties and Responsibilities- Mentor and elevate the software engineering team, model excellence.
- Advocate and implement best coding practices, continuously improve the codebase every sprint.
- Create developer tools and templates that simplify work for the team.
- Scale the platform to handle over 1,000× the current load while maintaining 100% uptime.
- 10+ years of software development lifecycle experience, at least 3 years as staff engineer or higher.
- Deep mastery of SDLC, SOLID principles, Test‑Driven Development, Clean Code, and clean architecture.
- 5+ years experience with GoLang, Graph
QL, gRPC, microservices, No
SQL (assets if not all known). - Experience in cloud development patterns, automated release pipelines, and API‑first architecture.
- Proven leadership in technical debt management and team technical vision.
- Commitment to continuous learning and improving code, processes, and people.
- Strong testing mindset and ability to advocate quality practices.
