We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Python Developer with deep expertise in building and enhancing APIs in our server‑side applications. The primary responsibilities include developing and maintaining new and existing services that support our client‑facing applications. This role will also provide technical leadership across the development team, conduct code reviews, and report directly to the VP of Engineering for Home Health.

A strong commitment to collaborative problem‑solving, high‑quality system design, and the delivery of reliable, well‑architected products is essential.

• Develop server‑side features and improvements in a secure, well‑tested, and performant way.
• Solve technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Craft code that meets our internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices for a high‑scale web environment. Maintain and advocate for these standards through code review.
• Confidently ship moderately sized features and improvements with minimal guidance and support from other team members. Collaborate with the team on larger projects.
• Provide mentorship for Junior and Intermediate Engineers on your team to help them grow in their technical responsibilities and remove blockers to their autonomy.

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science
• 6+ years of practical experience in building enterprise level applications
• Strong proficiency with Python, Django Rest Framework
• Previous experience building scalable REST APIs
• Proficient in working with SQL and No
  
  SQL database solutions such as PostgreSQL
• Experience with performance and optimization problems and a demonstrated ability to both diagnose and prevent these problems.
• Demonstrated capacity to clearly and concisely communicate about complex technical, architectural, and/or organizational problems and propose thorough iterative solutions.
• Excellent command over Data structures and Algorithms
• Effective communication skills:
  Regularly achieve consensus with peers, and provide clear status updates.
• Experience owning a project from concept to production, including proposal, discussion, and execution.
