The Engineering team at Fora Financial builds and operates the core systems that power our lending platform. Engineers partner closely with product, operations, finance, collections, and legal teams to deliver reliable, auditable, and scalable solutions in a highly regulated environment.

We're looking for a Technical Lead for the Servicing domain team, where you will guide execution and technical direction for a team building systems that manage loans after approval. This is a people‑first leadership role that combines hands‑on technical ownership, architectural decision-making, and mentorship, with a strong focus on reliability, correctness, and delivery.

The Servicing domain owns the systems and workflows that manage the post-approval loan lifecycle, including:

• Loan lifecycle management from funding through payoff, delinquency, collections, and charge‑off
• Payments and money movement, including ACH pulls, returns, retries, schedules, and payment application
• Financial ledgers and reconciliation, covering balances, transaction history, and audit trails
• Contracts and legal workflows, including contract generation, e‑signatures, amendments, and enforcement
• Collections and post‑charge‑off recoveries
• Internal servicing tools and customer‑facing portals used by Operations, Finance, Legal, and Support

This role sits at the heart of Fora’s platform. You will lead systems where accuracy, reliability, and auditability are critical, and where engineering decisions directly affect customer trust and financial outcomes.

You will partner closely with an Engineering Manager to balance delivery, technical excellence, and team growth.

• Lead the day-to-day execution of the Servicing engineering team, facilitating standups, clarifying priorities, and ensuring work is well scoped and sequenced
• Determine, delegate, and sequence work across the team, balancing business priorities, technical dependencies, delivery risk, and individual development
• Act as the technical owner for critical backend systems, with responsibility for reliability and correctness
• Drive architecture and system design decisions for complex, stateful, data‑sensitive systems
• Review code and technical designs regularly, guiding engineers toward scalable, maintainable solutions
• Partner closely with product managers and business stakeholders across Operations, Finance, Collections, Legal, and Underwriting
• Translate business, operational, and regulatory requirements into clear and actionable technical designs
• Establish and evolve standards for observability, auditability, and incident response
• Lead investigations into complex production issues and drive improvements that reduce long‑term risk

• Backend: .NET (C#), .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, but open to other languages as well (Java, Go, Rust, Ruby…)
• Frontend:
  Angular (Type Script), React

• Cloud and infrastructure:
  Azure Functions, Azure App Service, Azure Service Bus, Azure API Gateway
• Dev tooling:

  Git Hub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT
