We are currently seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our team. As a Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and implement complex software capabilities for computer-based systems, working closely with talented engineers to create solutions that meet our clients’ needs.

You will work with modern tools and technologies, stay up-to-date with the latest developments, and contribute to a dynamic, collaborative team committed to high-quality software solutions.

• Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work under pressure with multiple deadlines.
• Collaborate in a fast-paced, small business environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Security Clearance – A current Secret level U.S. Government security clearance is required; U.S. citizenship required.
• At least 5 years of experience in Software Engineering, Modern Java Frameworks and Libraries (e.g. Spring, Guava) and a Bachelors in a related field; 3 years relevant experience with a Masters in a related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
• Experience in RESTful web services.
• Experience in Microservices architecture.
• Experience in Object Oriented Programming (OOP) paradigms.
• Experience with the agile software lifecycle.
• Proven ability to learn quickly and work well both independently as well as in a team setting.
• Experience with the Linux operating system.
• Experience with configuration management tools (e.g. Git, Nexus, Maven).
• Must be able to work in a hybrid environment, spending an average of 1-2 days per week at our Columbia, MD office. Flexibility is essential to adapt to schedule changes as needed.

• A current TS/SCI CI Poly level clearance is preferred.
• DoD 8140/8570 compliance certification (Security+) is preferred.
• Experience in cloud-based technologies (AWS, Azure).
• Experience in distributed databases, No
  
  SQL databases, full text-search engines (e.g. Elasticsearch, Mongo
  
  DB, Solr).
• Scripting experience is a huge plus.
• Prior experience or familiarity with our Big Data Platform is a plus.
• Understanding of AGILE software development methodologies and use of standard software development tool suites (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Github Enterprise, etc.).
