Associate Salesforce Engineer

About The Role

The Commercial Engineering Organization within Thomson Reuters is looking to add a strong and experienced Salesforce Engineer to a well‑established global engineering team. This position requires someone who is passionate about technology, a strong team player, and is comfortable working with a variety of people and technology stacks. This is a chance to get in and make an impact transforming the way our customers interact as we shape the next generation of an enterprise‑wide experience.

• Have an understanding of the Salesforce platform and its components (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, etc.).
• Familiarity with Salesforce architecture (multi‑tenant architecture, metadata, etc.).
• Apply experience with point‑and‑click tools (Flow, etc.) for creating automation without code, Reports & Dashboards.
• Have an understanding of REST and SOAP APIs for integrating Salesforce with other systems. Familiarity with tools like Postman.
• Have an understanding of Visualforce pages and their use in custom UI development. Familiarity with Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Aura components.
• Know the Salesforce release cycle and change‑management processes (Sandboxes, change sets, etc.).

• 1‑2 years of driving the technical implementation of solutions using Salesforce Sales Cloud, APEX, Visualforce, Lightning, LWC, Process Automation.
• Experience with tools like Data Loader, Workbench, and third‑party integration tools (Mule Soft, Zapier).
• Effectively deliver technical design documentation and contribute to the technical deliverables.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, learning, innovation, development, and deployment.
• Work with Technical Leads and Architects on solution development estimates, technical planning, refinement, and dependencies.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional and product teams, internal/external technical experts, Architects, and third parties.

• Strong experience with Salesforce, Sales Cloud, Apex customization, Integration.
• Strong experience with CPQ domain.
• Experience implementing with Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning.
• Design, development, and scaling of REST API.
• Hands‑on experience with security vulnerability scanning tools.
• Working experience with Git.
