Senior Developer - Customer Support

The Role

The BC Senior Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining solutions within the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central environment. The role will work closely with functional teams to understand business requirements, configure the system, develop custom solutions, and integrate Business Central with other enterprise applications.

• Design, develop, and maintain custom modules and extensions in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, leveraging advanced AL and C/AL development and complex integrations.
• Lead the design, development, and optimization of complex NAV and Business Central solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and long‑term maintainability.
• Develop and support integrations between Business Central and third‑party systems (e.g., CRM, ERP, payment gateways, and external platforms).
• Implement workflow automation and business logic through high‑quality AL code.
• Participate in and lead code reviews, technical analysis, and solution design discussions, ensuring adherence to development best practices and standards.
• Collaborate closely with clients to translate business needs into effective, scalable technical solutions.

• Configure Business Central to support a variety of business processes and operational requirements.
• Partner with functional consultants to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into system configurations and custom development solutions.
• Implement and maintain application interfaces to ensure seamless system integrations.
• Provide technical estimates and input on effort, scope, timelines, and resource needs for development tasks and mini‑projects.

• Proactively communicate and resolve bugs, issues, and enhancements, providing clear updates and timelines to stakeholders.
• Provide technical support and guidance to end users.

• Work with cross‑functional teams including functional consultants, and project managers to ensure successful system implementation and maintenance.
• Create technical documentation for customizations, integrations, and configurations to ensure knowledge transfer.
• Conduct system tests and ensure that solutions meet user acceptance criteria and business requirements.
• Mentor and support developers in their growth within Business Central.
• Maintain ongoing communication with consultants, project managers, and leadership on progress, risks, and delivery status.

• 7+ years of development experience with Microsoft Dynamics BC with at least one Microsoft Development Certification.
• Experience working with common third‑party add‑on solutions and their integration with Business Central. NAV/BC desired (for example: Lanham, Charge Logic).
• Strong expertise in AL and C/AL development, including complex customizations and integrations.
• Proven experience owning or leading complex BC/NAV development efforts.
• Celigo experience is a plus.
• Adept in navigating creative workarounds and circumventing technical issues.
• Exceptional collaborator with both strong written and verbal communication abilities.
