We are seeking a highly skilled Jr. Development Software Engineer with expertise in Python, AWS, and coding best practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and cloud computing. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining scalable software solutions that power our products and services.

This is a hybrid position located in our San Diego office. We are open to remote work for the ideal candidate.

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑quality software solutions using Python.
• Utilize AWS services to build, deploy, and manage applications in the cloud.
• Has strong knowledge of cloud data engineering principles and manages Python based data pipelines.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and bugs.
• Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our solutions remain current and competitive.

Who You Are:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software development.
• Proven experience delivering solutions using AWS.
• Understanding of software development best practices, including design patterns, coding standards, ELT/ETL standards, and code reviews.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.

• Experience with web development technologies such as Node.js, React, Vue.js, or similar.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools like Jenkins, Git Lab CI, Circle
  
  CI, or similar.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of database systems, both SQL and No
  
  SQL.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Cloud Watch, ELK Stack, or similar.

For candidates based in our San Diego office, the salary range is $121,000 – 132,000.

For candidates working remote (US), the salary range is $113,000 – 130,000.

Pay range $113,000—$132,000 USD. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience, skillset, geographic location, industry, education, etc. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
