Sr. Test Automation Engineer : Cypress Typescript

About the role

As a Senior Test Automation Engineer:
Cypress with Type Script, you will make an impact by designing and implementing robust automation frameworks that ensure high-quality software delivery. You will be a valued member of our Quality Engineering & Assurance team and work collaboratively with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to drive excellence in testing.

• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks using Cypress and Type Script.
• Write and execute SQL queries to validate data and ensure data integrity.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand enterprise tech stacks and develop automation solutions.
• Analyze and troubleshoot test failures, identify root causes, and provide solutions.
• Continuously improve and optimize test automation processes and tools.

• 5–7 years of experience in test automation development using Cypress and Type Script.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, or similar.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Experience with advanced SQL and database validation techniques.

Applications will be accepted until 01/19/2026. The annual salary for this position is between [$53,477/- to $92,500/-] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
