Lead Java and Data Integration Engineer

Resource Innovationsis seeking aLead Java Software and Data Integration Engineerto join our growing Software As A Service (SaaS) team.

As a hands-on technical lead at Resource Innovations, you will be instrumental in the design, development and deployment of innovative cloud-based enterprise software used by leading Energy organizations.

This position will work on wide range of SaaS products that fundamentally changes how utilities manage business processes and customer initiatives for energy efficiency, renewable energy, demands response and conservation. We are looking for candidates who want to work on things that make an impact on the world and are passionate about product craftsmanship.

This is remote position requiring occasional in-person office meetings for candidates residing in one of the following metro areas San Francisco CA, Chicago IL, Phoenix AZ, Denver CO, or Madison WI.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of data integration solutions and APIsto connect enterprise systems and services.
• Architect and implementAPI‑driven interfaces and ETL/data pipelinesusing Java, Spring Boot, and integration frameworks.
• Design and implementparallel and batch processing of large data sets, applying provenintegration patternsandperformance optimization techniques.
• Participate in thefull software development lifecycle -design, development, testing, deployment, and support of cloud‑based enterprise applications.
• Work withAPI Gateways, REST and SOAP web services.
• Ensure designs meetperformance, security, usability, reliability, and scalabilityrequirements.
• Collaborate incode reviews, provide design feedback, and mentor junior team members.
• Research and evaluate new technologies, frameworks, and integration patterns to improve solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolvecomplex technical issuesrelated to integrations and APIs.
• Contribute toCI/CD pipelinesand improve development practices.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degreein Computer Science or a related field.
• 8+ years of hands‑on software development experiencedelivering high‑performance, reliable, and scalable applications.
• Proven expertise inJava, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Maven, and JMS.
• Strong experience withAPI design and development, including REST, SOAP, and API gateways.
• Working experience withSpring Integration and Spring Batch modules, AWS Lambda, andAPI security.
• Solid experience withRDBMS(MySQL preferred) and strong SQL skills.
• Skilled inunit testing and test automation(JUnit, TestNG, Mockito).
• Hands‑on knowledge ofAWS cloud services, Linux, and familiarity withJava Script .
• Experience inagile developmentusing tools like Jira, Confluence, and Git.
• Ability to design and implement solutions usingdesign patternsandmulti‑threaded programming.
• Stronganalytical and problem‑solving skillswith excellent communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and lead initiatives in afast‑paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience withfront‑end frameworkssuch as Angular.
• Familiarity withNo

• Knowledge ofmicroservices architectureandcontainerization/orchestration(Docker, Kubernetes).
