Java Developer

We offer you exciting and varied tasks in the field of structured data processing, both in the backend and frontend area. Our team develops and extends components for data transformation – from parsers, through our own runtime environment, to a development environment with AI support. We work as a distributed team of eight, including an Agile Master and Product Owner.

Experience with functional programming languages or familiarity with their characteristics is helpful, but not required. Prior knowledge of SQL and especially XPath is a big plus, but also not a prerequisite.
It is also advantageous if you are enthusiastic about design patterns and enjoy contributing to the design of components and their interfaces.

• Development and enhancement of our backend with components for processing a domain-specific language based on XPath
• Code reviews via Git & Gerrit, Continuous Integration with Jenkins
• Agile work in sprints with the typical Scrum meetings, open communication, and a motivated team
• Focus on code quality and sustainable solutions
• Open ear for your own ideas to optimize the development process (in the spirit of agility)

• Relevant experience in software development (ideally 3+ years)
• Strong knowledge of Java
• Experience with test automation and continuous integration
• Good knowledge of Git, ideally also Maven, Gerrit, and Jenkins
• Team spirit, initiative, and interest in modern technologies
• Good English skills for international collaboration, German is a plus
