Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Fully embrace the agile life, daily standups, reviews, and retros. Keep it fun and filled with good vibes.
• Own feature refinement as a team, turning ideas into clear user stories with well-defined scope, out-of-scope limits, and acceptance criteria so everyone knows exactly what “done” looks like.
• Team up with brilliant minds to craft web applications that are as functional as they are impressive.
• Write clean, efficient code while embracing the idea that there’s always room to improve, even months down the line.
• Partner with UX designer, product owner, and staff developer to turn wild ideas into functional, eye-catching web magic.
• Ship high-quality updates often, because waiting forever for perfection does not align with your idea of success.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize to ensure everything runs like a dream.
• Stay curious, keep learning, and share your knowledge to help the whole team grow.
• Actively participate in discussions, code reviews, and brainstorming sessions to make every project better.
• Take customer feedback to heart and turn it into features that truly resonate.

Skills You Have or Want to Grow

• Cloud Expertise
  :
  Experience with cloud platforms like Azure, and bonus points if you’re familiar with serverless architectures.
• Frontend Flair
  :
  Proficiency in React or similar, with a knack for building sleek, responsive user interfaces.
• Backend Savvy
  :
  Strong skills in .NET 10 (or earlier versions with a readiness and desire to level up).
• Modern Development Mindset
  : A solid grasp of CI/CD pipelines, version control, and Dev Ops principles. We are using Azure Dev Ops.
• Legacy Code Champion
  :
  You don’t shy away from legacy code, you thrive on debugging, fixing, and improving it, making sure everything runs seamlessly.

Additional Information

This is a mostly work-from-home role, giving you the flexibility to focus and thrive in your own space. While we welcome applicants from across Canada, being based in Calgary is preferred, as we come together for in-person meetings at our downtown office once every few weeks for brainstorming/impact-mapping/design-discussion sessions, lunch, and a bit of team camaraderie. These sessions add a fun, collaborative touch to the work we do, even if it’s just a few times a month.
