SDET BE Quality Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer (SDET BE) with a strong background in software testing, particularly in Java and API automation. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with tools such as Karate, Rest Assured, and Postman, and will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through effective testing strategies and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for REST APIs using Postman and Rest Assured.
• Implement and maintain test automation frameworks using Java and Karate.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and provide feedback on testability and quality.
• Participate in CI/CD processes to integrate automated tests into the build pipeline.
• Identify, document, and track defects, and work with the development team to resolve issues.
• Conduct performance and load testing to ensure system scalability and reliability.
• Provide regular reports on testing progress, results, and quality metrics to stakeholders.
• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance overall product quality.

Mandatory

Skills:

• Proven experience in API testing using Postman.
• Strong proficiency in Java programming.
• Hands‑on experience with test automation frameworks, particularly Karate.
• Experience with Rest Assured for API testing.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices.

Preferred

Skills:

• Knowledge of other testing tools and frameworks.
• Experience with performance testing tools.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on automation.
• Proven track record of delivering high quality software products.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote work environment.
