As a Middle NodeJS Developer you will have the opportunity to be a part of a team of developers working on a video platform that increases engagement by connecting media publishers to local, contributor-driven content. The platform simplifies video for team communities by providing an end-to-end suite of video tools for live streaming, post-production, and highlight distribution - eliminating the barriers to sourcing, organizing, and publishing video content.

You will be working as part of a dedicated Agile team with a high level of responsibility for technical decisions and daily collaboration with the client abroad.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to an agile team that solves complex challenges and improves the scalability, and performance of existing applications.
• Troubleshooting issues by fixing defects and responding to client specific problems
• Participate in code reviews with the team to ensure that code completely and correctly implements the design
• Perform refactoring to improve stability, quality and performance of existing applications
• Keep engineering operation process to ensure high-quality results
• Be proactive and propose thoughtful decisions

Technologies

• NodeJS
• Type Script
• MongoDB
• GraphQL
• Additional exposure to PHP, Word Press, React
  
  JS, or video streaming technologies is a plus.

Qualifications

• Type Script experience in good to have
• Self-driven team member of a high-performing development team who cares about the team culture and takes pride in the outcome of the teamwork
• Enjoys an Agile development environment, Kanban methodology experience is a plus
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with NodeJS
• Working experience with NodeJS frameworks
• Experience with non relational No
  
  SQL-Databases (Mongo
  
  DB preferred)
• Experience with Graph
  
  QL is a plus
• Experience in building/integrating Backend APIs
• Experience with automated code testing (unit testing, integration testing)

Good to have

• PHP experience
• Word Press experience
• Familiar with ReactJS
