Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer (SDET BE) with a strong background in software testing, particularly in Java and API automation. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with tools such as Karate, Rest Assured, and Postman, and will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through effective testing strategies and CI/CD practices.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for REST APIs using Postman and Rest Assured.
Implement and maintain test automation frameworks using Java and Karate.
Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and provide feedback on testability and quality.
Participate in CI/CD processes to integrate automated tests into the build pipeline.
Identify, document, and track defects, and work with the development team to resolve issues.
Conduct performance and load testing to ensure system scalability and reliability.
Provide regular reports on testing progress, results, and quality metrics to stakeholders.
Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance overall product quality.
Mandatory
Skills:
Proven experience in API testing using Postman.
Strong proficiency in Java programming.
Hands‑on experience with test automation frameworks, particularly Karate.
Experience with Rest Assured for API testing.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices.
Preferred
Skills:
Knowledge of other testing tools and frameworks.
Experience with performance testing tools.
Understanding of Agile methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
5–7 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on automation.
Proven track record of delivering high quality software products.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote work environment.
