Senior Backend Developer for UCaaS Solutions (Remote EST/CST)

Sangoma, a leader in business communications solutions, is hiring a Senior Backend Developer. This remote role requires candidates to be located in either the Eastern or Central time zones. You will design and implement robust backend systems supporting our comprehensive suite of UCaaS products, focusing on performance, reliability, and scalability.

• Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications and services using modern technologies and best practices.
• Collaborate with frontend teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless API integrations.
• Optimize applications for speed, performance, and scalability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues to maintain high availability and excellent user experience.
• Mentor and guide junior developers, promoting a culture of growth.
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to technology roadmaps.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience as a backend developer.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as PHP

• Experience with frameworks (e.g.,

  ) and database management systems (e.g.,

  ).
• Solid understanding of APIs and web services (
