Senior Front-End Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Front-End Engineer to help us redefine the music industry. We've invented a new technology to produce on-demand vinyl records and built a web platform for music creators to create and sell their products worldwide via our store at zero cost. We partner with leading record labels, streaming services, digital providers, distributors, and iconic global artists to build a global solution for physical media, but most importantly, we give small and emerging artists frictionless access to offer vinyl and CDs to their fans through our innovative solution and planned production/fulfilment centres in Europe, the USA, and Asia.

The vinyl market has grown over 20% yearly for the last 16 years, and CDs are growing again for the first time in two decades. By 2030, there will be nearly 200 million music creators worldwide (with AI accelerating this even further). Most would love to have their music on vinyl or CD for friends, family, and fans. Many would happily buy a record for around $30 if it s accessible without high costs or minimums, which our scalable on-demand tech makes possible.

As a Senior Front-End Developer, you will take ownership of our React-based front-end platform. This is a hands-on role for someone passionate about building robust, scalable, and elegant user interfaces who enjoys setting technical direction and leading by example while remaining deeply involved in day-to-day development.

You’ll work closely with product, design, and backend engineers to deliver high-quality user experiences across our e-commerce, creator tools, and operational systems.

• Own and evolve the front-end architecture of the elastic
  
  Stage platform.
• Lead the development of reusable components and design systems.
• Collaborate closely with product and design to translate requirements into intuitive user experiences.
• Set front-end best practices around performance, accessibility, testing, and maintainability.
• Review code and mentor other engineers, setting a high technical bar.
• Contribute to API design discussions and work effectively with Node.js-based services.
• Stay hands-on while helping shape how the front-end discipline scales over time.

• Strong knowledge of JavaScript/Type Script, HTML, and CSS.
• Proven ability to think architecturally and design maintainable front-end systems.
• Experience working closely with designers and product managers.
• Familiarity with consuming APIs and collaborating on backend contracts.
• Strong testing mindset (e.g. component, integration, or E2E testing).
• Comfortable working in a cloud-based, modern engineering environment.
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience building or maintaining a design system.
• Exposure to Node.js or backend-for-frontend patterns.
• Experience in e-commerce, marketplaces, or complex workflows.
