Software Engineer - Product Scalability

• Collaborate with full‑stack engineers to design, build, and operate scalable backend systems
• Take ownership of backend and systems aspects of product features from design through production and scale
• Ensure product functionality is reliable and performs well as the business grows
• Utilize modern AI tooling as part of the development workflow
• Optimize performance and reliability of backend systems in response to product feature evolution

• Strong backend engineering focus with hands‑on experience in production‑grade distributed systems
• Proficiency in at least one strongly typed backend language (C#, Java, Kotlin, Go, or similar)
• Experience with relational databases, preferably Postgre
  
  SQL, including schema design and performance tuning
• Familiarity with cloud‑based production environments, preferably AWS, and technologies such as Kafka and Redis
• Comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy and collaborating closely with full‑stack engineers

• Experience building and operating production‑grade distributed systems that support real product functionality at meaningful scale
• Strong systems design instincts with the ability to reason about scalability, performance, and reliability trade‑offs
• Willingness to travel a few times per year for team offsites within the United States
