£35,000 – £45,000 DOE | Hybrid Working | Tavistock, Devon

Role Overview

As a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer
, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks while supporting robust manual testing processes. Working closely with engineering and product teams, you will help ensure monthly releases are stable, reliable and aligned with business‑critical workflows. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys improving automation coverage, enhancing test frameworks and contributing to a maturing QA environment within a SaaS setting.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain and enhance automated test suites using modern automation frameworks such as Playwright
  • Execute manual testing, regression testing and support user acceptance testing cycles
  • Collaborate with developers to define acceptance criteria and improve testability across web and API services
  • Identify, document and verify defects, contributing to root cause analysis and continuous improvement
Requirements
  • Experience in a QA Automation or Software Test Engineer role within a SaaS or digital product environment
  • Hands‑on experience with automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress or Selenium
  • Strong understanding of manual testing, regression planning and risk‑based testing approaches
  • Clear communication skills with the ability to work effectively with engineering, product and support teams
