We’re looking for a Python Engineer to join a high‑profile project focused on backend systems that automate complex financial and actuarial workflows. This is a hands‑on role delivering backend solutions under tight deadlines in a highly regulated environment.

• Build and maintain Python backend services using modern frameworks and CI/CD practices
• Design distributed systems to handle high‑volume financial and actuarial data
• Develop event‑driven pipelines using Pub/Sub and message queues
• Implement cloud‑native solutions on GCP with Docker and dbt
• Collaborate with stakeholders to turn requirements into scalable technical designs

• Background working in asset management, insurance, or investment banking
• 4+ years production Python experience (FastAPI, Flask, or similar)
• Experience designing and operating distributed systems at scale
• Hands‑on experience with event‑driven architectures (Pub/Sub or message queues)
• GCP and Docker experience
• Experience with dbt and Big Query (or similar cloud data warehouses)

Rate: DOE, Outside IR35

Duration: 6‑month rolling contract (with potential extensions)
