What You’ll Be Doing As A middle senior Remote Principal Data Engineer At Mold Stud## Principal Data Engineer Join a dynamic team focused on empowering cloud-driven organizations through innovative data solutions. This is a full-time, remote opportunity for experienced engineers based in the UK, Ireland, Estonia, the Netherlands, Sweden, or Israel. We also welcome contractors in Eastern Europe and Portugal.##

Job Responsibilities
* Design, build, and maintain large-scale backend services and high-throughput data pipelines.
* Contribute significantly to shaping the long-term technical direction of our platform.
* Assume system ownership, driving architectural decisions and leading technical initiatives.
* Collaborate effectively with product and engineering teams to deliver robust solutions.
* Champion best practices in data engineering, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
* Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues within production environments.
* Continuously evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance our data capabilities.## Qualifications
* A minimum of 8 years of professional backend engineering experience.
* At least 3 years of experience architecting high-load systems or complex data pipelines in a production setting.
* Profound expertise in distributed systems, utilizing modern programming languages such as Go, Java, Rust, or Python.
* Extensive hands-on experience with both relational and analytical databases, with a preference for Postgre

SQL and Click House.
* Demonstrated proficiency with microservices architecture, containerization technologies (e.g., Docker), and orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes).
* Solid understanding and practical application of modern Dev Ops practices, including Git Ops and CI/CD pipelines.
* A proven ability to balance hands-on coding with strategic architectural leadership.
* Exceptional skills in debugging, performance benchmarking, and optimization.##
