Overview💻 What you’ll do
Responsibilities- Take on a 70/30 hands-on vs. leadership split
—coding, architecting, and mentoring. - Lead a small, talented team of developers in an agile, product-focused environment (scrum).
- Work across a modern full-stack environment
. - HANDS ON Software Engineering Manager of a team between 2–10 engineers, running 1:1s and supporting growth
- Influence architecture, design patterns, and tech decisions across the platform
- Partner with product managers to shape priorities and delivery outcomes
- Guide teams in designing, building, testing, and shipping new features
- Play a key role in hiring the next generation of engineering talent
- Foster a culture of learning, collaboration, and engineering excellence
- Remain technically hands-on, especially while teams scale
We’re seeking strong full-stack engineers who lead by example.
- Core stack includes:
- Experience with large-scale, complex systems is a major advantage.
- Leadership titles aren’t essential - but leadership behaviour is

- A strong full-stack engineer with deep problem-solving instincts
- Comfortable leading technical direction and coaching others
- Skilled at breaking down complexity into clear actions
- Emotionally intelligent and great at aligning teams
- Confident challenging assumptions and navigating ambiguity
- Motivated to build elegant, scalable, future-ready solutions
- Passionate about learning, improvement, and collaboration
- Up to £80,000 depending on experience
- 33 days holiday, rising to 40
- 4-week paid sabbatical after 5 years
