About The Team And Role
Our advertising platform supports thousands of advertisers reaching over 300 million monthly unique visitors. As an engineer on the Ads product team, you’ll build data‑intensive applications and systems to optimize campaigns, enable targeted audiences, and maintain a high‑quality ad experience.

• Drive projects from ideation to production using the full technology stack.
• Architect, design, and implement features for our mission‑critical online ad platform at massive scale with data‑driven iteration.
• Identify high‑impact features that achieve engineering and revenue goals, and articulate the rationale behind your decisions.
• Collaborate with designers, fellow engineers, and data scientists to prototype, implement functionality, and analyze impact.

• Availability for meetings during Quora’s coordination hours (Mon‑Fri: 9am‑3pm PT).
• 5+ years of full‑time product development experience building consumer or enterprise web products (internships excluded).
• 2+ years of industry experience in online advertising or a related area.
• Excellent proficiency with Python or a similar programming language.
• Knowledge of backend storage systems such as MySQL, HBase, Memcached, or Redis.
• Knowledge of frontend technologies such as React, JavaScript, and Type Script.
• Experience with large‑scale distributed systems.

• 1+ year of frontend experience with React, JavaScript, or Type Script.
• Passion for Quora products.
