Contract .NET Engineer

Ocho is partnering with a Belfast-based organisation to hire a Contract .NET Engineer to support the delivery of large-scale, business-critical platforms used globally.

This is an 8‑month contract sitting outside IR35, offering a largely remote working model with occasional on‑site collaboration as required. You'll join a high‑performing engineering team working on modern, scalable systems in a product‑led environment.

• Design, build and maintain scalable .NET applications
• Develop high‑quality, performant backend services
• Work across modern architectures including APIs and distributed systems
• Collaborate with engineering, product and QA teams in an Agile environment
• Contribute to system design, performance optimisation and best practices
• Ensure code quality through testing and peer review

• Strong commercial experience with .NET / C#
• Experience building scalable, high-performance backend systems
• Solid understanding of APIs, microservices and distributed systems
• Experience working in cloud environments is advantageous
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced Agile delivery environment
