Position: (Senior) Systems Engineer – Remote Access
Location: Zürich

Are you an experienced Systems/Software Engineer with a passion for building the future of secure connectivity? Do you thrive in an environment where you can make a real impact, work with cutting‑edge technologies, and collaborate with top‑tier professionals? If so, we want you on our team!

We’re seeking a talented Systems/Software Engineer (Junior or Senior) to help shape the next generation of Remote Access solutions for our global customers. This is your chance to work on innovative technologies that are revolutionising remote work, security, and connectivity at scale.

Your Mission

As a (Senior) Systems Engineer specializing in Remote Access, you’ll play a key role in advancing our industry‑leading Client VPN and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) solutions. These services enable customers to securely and seamlessly connect to their corporate networks—no matter where they are in the world.

You’ll be involved in projects from the ground up—starting with conceptual design, through implementation and deployment, and into ongoing operations and optimisation. Your expertise will directly influence the evolution of our solutions, which are deployed in thousands of customer environments worldwide.

Responsibilities
  • Integrate and enhance OEM software within our Open Systems SASE platform, supporting 10,000+ deployments across on‑premises environments, public cloud platforms, and our own Kubernetes‑based cloud infrastructure.
  • Develop a deep understanding of OEM software and work closely with vendors to enhance functionality, performance, and reliability.
  • Design and build end‑to‑end service capabilities around this software, including deployment automation, configuration management, tooling, and monitoring; own the service and make a tangible impact on how customers experience secure access.
  • Create comprehensive operational documentation and educational materials to ensure smooth deployment and long‑term success.
Why Join Us?
  • Build and evolve next‑gen ZTNA solutions across on‑prem Linux systems and cloud‑based Kubernetes environments, shaping the future of secure connectivity.
  • Work directly for thousands of customers worldwide, enabling secure work from anywhere.
  • Become a certified Mission Control Engineer, deepening your expertise in networking and security while gaining access to global training and certification opportunities.
  • Opportunity to visit our Network Operations Center in Honolulu, Hawaii for a three‑month rotation—experience the Aloha spirit while advancing your career.
What You Bring

We’re looking for someone with a strong passion for networking, automation, and solving complex technical challenges. You thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment where innovation and collaboration are key.

Qualifications
  • A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in a related field, with strong exposure to networking technologies (dynamic routing, firewalls, TCP/IP, etc.).
  • Solid experience with Linux/UNIX‑based systems and/or Kubernetes.
  • Strong software engineering skills—scripting languages such as Bash, Perl, or Python, and compiled languages such as Go, C#, or C++.
  • Proficiency in English.
Bonus Skills
  • Hands‑on experience with Go, Perl, Bash, and/or Terraform.
  • Expertise in authentication and identity protocols such as OAuth 2.0, SAML, OpenID Connect, and/or LDAP.
  • A solid understanding of network security principles and best practices.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and system/software testing practices.
