Senior Application Developer; Insurance

As a Senior Application Developer, you work on business critical applications in an insurance environment. You further develop existing frontend and backend applications, build new solutions from the ground up, and ensure their stable operation. Working closely with interdisciplinary teams, you apply your expertise effectively and contribute to shaping high performance, scalable, and sustainable software solutions.

• Analysis of business and technical problem statements
• Derivation and definition of functional and non functional requirements such as availability, security, and performance
• Creation and maintenance of models for data, functions, and objects
• Design, further development, and maintenance of applications, components, modules, and interfaces
• Ensuring stable implementation and sustainable operation of solutions
• Setup and maintenance of development and test environments
• Participation in the implementation and execution of tests, particularly integration tests
• Creation and continuous updating of technical and business documentation
• Analysis and resolution of defects in productive applications
• Implementation of change requests and continuous improvement of existing solutions throughout the entire lifecycle

• University degree in Computer Science or a comparable discipline
• At least five years of experience in software development
• Experience with microservices and event driven architectures
• Hands on experience with the following technologies:
  Java, JEE, JAX RS, JPA, Quarkus, Kafka, Angular, Microsoft Azure
• Ideally, experience in the non life insurance sector
