Position: Senior Backend Engineer (Remote)

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Backend Engineer with over 8+ years of proven expertise in building and scaling robust services. This role is perfect for someone with deep knowledge in C#, .NET, Azure Cloud, and Azure Dev Ops, combined with a strong aptitude for debugging and performance optimization. As a key member of our engineering team, you will lead the development of scalable backend systems that drive our mission forward and are expected to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while practicing extreme ownership.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop high-performance, scalable backend systems using C# and .NET technologies
Lead the design discussions and implement best practices for service-oriented architectures and microservices
Drive the evolution of our existing platform to the next level by leveraging cutting-edge technologies and strategies to ensure a future-proof and scalable infrastructure.
Ensure high quality unit/integration tests where required
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues, with a strong emphasis on debugging skills.
Optimize system performance through proactive analysis, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives along with observability tooling
Mentor junior engineers and share your deep technical expertise across teams
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, Dev Ops, QA, and product managers to deliver high-quality solutions.
Contribute to agile processes and drive continuous improvement in development methodologies and practices
Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending new tools and practices to enhance the technical stack
Contribute to the technical strategy and roadmap of backend services

Must have

Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
Experience with Azure cloud services like key vault, app config, various queueing products and ADB2C
Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and serverless computing
Extensive database design experience with SQL and No

SQL
Extensive caching strategies and related experience
Command over codebase architecture and code organization with relevant design patterns

Good to have

Previously worked in a fintech/proptech industry
Knowledge of additional programming languages or frameworks is a plus.
Certification(s) related to Azure or cloud technologies.
Programming experience in a related language such as Golang, Typescript, etc
