Technical Test Manager – Singapore

Lead and advance Ascenda’s quality engineering initiatives across our high‑traffic platforms, ensuring reliable, scalable delivery through strategic test architecture, automation, and culture building.

Key Responsibilities

Drive the quality vision, strategy, and best practices across engineering teams.
Foster a quality‑first culture by integrating testing into the development lifecycle.
Align testing efforts with business objectives and product goals.
Oversee implementation of test automation adoption and continuous testing in CI/CD pipelines.
Leverage testing practices and strategy for efficiency and scalability.
Lead a small team of Quality Engineers, ensuring daily collaboration with Development, Product, and Quality teams.
Coordinate across technical teams to align on quality gates.
Oversee defect triage, RFCs, and continuous quality improvement.
Define and enforce testing standards, risk management, and compliance.
Implement Shift‑Left testing to detect defects early in the SDLC and monitor key quality metrics.
Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Developers, Dev Ops, and Business Leaders.
Communicate testing progress, risks, and insights effectively to leadership and advocate data‑driven decision‑making.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a lead role with a mix of quality strategies, especially for API, backend, and data validation testing.
Hands‑on experience with test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Rest Assured, and Postman.
Expertise in scripting and programming languages:
Typescript, Ruby, Python, and Java.
Solid understanding of data integration concepts, ETL processes, and data transformation workflows (a plus).
Strong understanding of authentication protocols, security best practices, and encryption technologies (a plus).
Excellent collaboration and communication skills for stakeholder management.
Experience with CI/CD, containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and modern Dev Ops practices.
Prior experience leading or mentoring a small team or junior engineers (a plus).
Familiarity with loyalty mechanics—rewards, points, tiers, partner systems—generates added value.
