As a Senior Progress 4GL Openedge Developer, you will:

Play a key role in developing, maintaining, and enhancing our software applications

Work closely with colleagues across the business to understand customer needs and deliver effective solutions

Take ownership of tasks and contribute ideas to drive continuous improvement

Engage directly with customers when required to resolve issues or gather requirements

Occasionally travel to customer sites to provide on‑site support or project assistance

Work in a fast‑paced environment where no two days are the same

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both technical development and direct customer interaction.

You will be able to demonstrate:

Strong, hands‑on experience with Progress 4GL development (V12 preferred)

Good understanding of database design, structure, and performance

Ability to work effectively in a multi‑functional role involving development, troubleshooting, and support

Excellent problem‑solving abilities with a proactive approach

A positive, flexible, and hardworking attitude

Strong communication skills and a customer‑first mindset

Ability to thrive both independently and as part of a collaborative team

Willingness to travel to customer sites when necessary

Good PC knowledge and a solid understanding of PC networks

Confident working with Microsoft and common Microsoft applications

Previous experience in a customer‑facing role or technical support capacity

Desirable Technical

Experience:

Familiarity with Linux or other Unix‑based operating systems

Exposure to web development languages or modern web technologies
