Fitch Ratings is currently seeking an AI Specialist, based out of our Manchester, UK office.
About the Team:
You will join our innovative
Ratings AIteam, which focuses on ideating, planning, and testing AI solutions to enhance Fitch Ratings’ workflows and processes. The team is highly collaborative and partner-facing, with strong visibility across the organization as we scale practical AI capabilities that drive measurable business outcomes.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Develop and refine AI prototypes and interfaces, with mentorship from senior team members
- Explore and apply machine learning algorithms and data analytics in real-world scenarios
- Code, test, and debug AI prototypes to ensure robust and efficient performance
- Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver tailored AI solutions
- Monitor and enhance AI systems using performance metrics and feedback loops
You May be a Good Fit if You Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field
- Strong analytical mindset and excellent problem-solving capabilities
- Hands-on experience with AI or machine learning projects (internships, academic projects, or research)
- Proficiency in Python or R, plus the ability to create basic web interfaces

- Previous experience or strong interest in financial services, particularly applying AI technologies to business workflows
- Exceptional communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
