Development Platform and Dev Ex Engineer
Location:
3000 Bern (BE), Workload: 80% - 100%, Employment:
Permanent.
- You develop and continuously enhance our internal developer platform based on Backstage, enabling teams to build and operate applications efficiently.
- You design and maintain application skeletons so teams can start new projects quickly and consistently.
- You build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Git Hub Actions to ensure reliable and automated delivery processes.
- You continuously improve developer tooling and workflows to simplify daily work and increase productivity across teams.
- You automate build, test, and deployment processes to reduce manual effort and improve quality.
- You collaborate closely with Dev Ops and platform teams to align and further develop the tooling landscape.
- You support and advise developers on CI/CD topics and actively contribute to improving the overall developer experience.
- You have a strong background in software development, ideally with Java or C#, forming the foundation of your expertise.
- You bring experience with Backstage or modern technologies such as Type Script and Node.js and can apply them effectively.
- You have hands‑on experience with Git Hub and Git Hub Actions and know how to build efficient pipelines.
- You have a solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and Dev Ops principles and apply best practices in your daily work.
- Experience with automation, scripting (e.g., Bash or Python), and Infrastructure as Code strengthens your profile.
- You stand out with strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and a collaborative way of working.
- You are familiar with working in a corporate proxy environment and you have good written and spoken command of a national language and good proficiency in English.
- Six-week holiday.
