Location

Canada, BC or ON. This is a remote position; you may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office.

Senior Site Reliability Engineer for the Database Infrastructure team. Design, develop, and deploy automated solutions for production database infrastructure (MySQL, Postgre

SQL, Cassandra). Build software that ensures reliability, scalability, and performance of databases for corporate applications and customer hosting services.

• Design and develop automation tools and services in Golang to streamline database operations.
• Build and maintain REST APIs and microservices to support automation.
• Develop custom software solutions and internal tooling for database management at scale.
• Engineer CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using infrastructure as code.
• Create and maintain automation scripts in Golang and Bash for database operations, upgrades, and configuration.
• Architect and implement solutions for migrating database infrastructure to modernized virtual machine environments.
• Develop monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions to track system performance.
• Integrate with configuration management systems such as Salt and Puppet.
• Contribute to on‑call rotation and build solutions that prevent incidents.

• 2+ years in Golang building production‑grade applications and services.
• 2+ years with relational databases (MySQL, Postgre
  
  SQL) or No
  
  SQL (Cassandra), including deployment and management at scale.
• Experience designing and implementing REST APIs and backend services.
• Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems design.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and continuous deployment.
• Experience with Linux/Unix systems and large‑scale software.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Salt Stack, or Puppet.

• Python for automation and tooling.
• Containerization and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Testing infrastructure and frameworks.
• Exposure to compute platforms such as Open Stack or AWS.
• Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.).
