Position: Meteorology Software Developer - Hybrid Role
Join The Weather Network as a Software Developer specializing in backend systems. This hybrid job in Oakville emphasizes technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud services.

You will play a key role in the design and maintenance of backend systems for The Weather Network and its subsidiaries. Leveraging your skills in C++, Go, Python, and Rust, you will ensure the operational efficiency of cloud-native applications using AWS and Google Cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop meteorological software with REST and gRPC APIs

• Manage distributed services in Linux-based environments

• Participate in testing and documentation processes

• Support production systems and resolve defects

• Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins

Requirements:

• Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience

• 5+ years in enterprise software development

• Experience using Go and familiarity with C++, Rust, and Python

• Background in Docker and container orchestration

• Knowledge of data structures and algorithms for optimization
